Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to put some files into WAV format for our upcoming session this Friday. The files in question come up as MPGA format. It seems to be some kind of MPEG build, but the converter program I normally use doesn't see them as a viable format. The file can, however, play on Real Player or Windows Media Player. Any suggestions on how I can get these into a readable CD format? Thanks!

Some of the music files in question are from this site:

I haven't tried it personally, but I hear that this can convert your mpga formated files:

http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/

Or I have also heard this (but haven't tried it):

"you just need to change the file extention from mpga to mp3. if you can't see the file extention at the end of yourfile simply follow directions below

1. With your computer on, click the Start menu.
2. Click on Windows Explorer to open the files on your computer. (Note: Under some earlier operating systems; Microsoft buried Windows Explorer under the Program Files / Accessories area of the start menu)
3. Once Explorer loads, click the Tools menu
4. Followed by the Folder Options sub menu item. This will load the Folder Options window.
5. Once the Folder Options window appears, click the View Tab.
6. Scroll down under advanced settings and locate:
a) Hide extensions for known file types
b) And uncheck this box.
7. Click the Apply button.
8. Ensure that all folders display the file extensions by click the Apply to All Folders button under Folder Views.
9. Click the OK button
10. Followed by the X to close the Folder Options window."

I'd try the second one first. Let me know if it works.
