Computer names....(What does ANGEL stand for?)

The_Universe

First Post
I'm working on a piece of short fiction that will (at the moment) involve a fairly powerful computer.

At the moment, I'm thinking I'd like the computer's name to be something along the lines of "ANGEL." Though, being a piece of technology, it probably makes the most sense if "ANGEL" is an acronym or abbreviation for a longer name.

The AN could stand for analytical (though there are other possibilities).

So help me out - what does ANGEL stand for?

I agree, it would help to have something to base the name on. Is it Artificially intelligent?

A.N.G.E.L.: Artificial Networked Galactic Exploration Lifeform

Yes - it's AI. It's also relatively primitive AI, stuff that may nto be possible today, but should be available tomorrow or the day after (figuratively). It's just a big thinking machine.

Does that help?

You could always have a couple of those letters be the initials of the creating scientists/techs.

Adaptive Norton-Gruber Electronic Lifeform, or something like that.
