This is sort of off topic for this forum, but I figured this would be the best place to ask. I'm looking to get certification for computer repair, since it's something I'm fairly good at and I certainly have the time right now. Plus, it's always good to have options when you look for jobs. Anyway, I just had a few questions...
1) How much does this usually run? I have very limited funds, so if it's prohibitively expensive I won't bother persuing it right now.
2) How long does it usually take? I have the time, and I'd do it anyway somewhere down the road, but if it's going to take two or three years it's not something I want to do right now, seeing as how I don't even know where I'll be in a year.
3) What sort of background is usually had going into a class like this? I've done a lot of hands-on work with my computer, my families' computers, and my friends computers (and laptops). I guess I'm just a little self-conscious, seeing as how I've been turned down from a number of jobs in my own field (Biochem) simply because of lack of experience.
