Hi all, while I've been around ENWorld a long time and asked for help allot, I do believe this is my first dive in here. If this is not the correct place please fell free to move it.
The reason for this is to get some help/input on an adventure idea I had last night for a Con game. What ever this turns in to will be run a DunDraCon in the Bay Area Ca next Feb, so if you may end up there playing be warned poss spoilers ahead.
Here is what I've typed up so far.... (please be aware these are just a collection of thoughts, if even that)
D&D - around 9th level (could change - not set in stone in any way)
Doing Pre-Gen characters
Players will get index card with basic details of characters; name, race, class, level, feats, skill focuses, primary weapon.... (this will be used by players to pick which PC they are playing)
Will set up map with PC's in pre-arranged locations, along with enemies. (printed map?)
Will hand Players PC's with current status, some will be injured, casters will have memorized spells listed, along with some that have been used. Will have indication of what init roll was, will pick up fight mid round with player's taking over PC's actions.
(Character sheet printed from computer with normal stats, changes adjusted in pencil, plus print out of current status.)
Will give description of where they are, what they are fighting and such, but not how they got there.
Also thinking my have one NPC on the ground bleeding out or something like that.
Once this fight is done, party will be in location that they can rest, regroup and get some info on why they are where they are at and what the mission they are on is. At this point I will fill in the back story.
* * * * * * *
So thats what I've got so far, I know its not much, but thats why I'm here.
As I mentioned it will be for a Con game, I expect the session to be between 8-12 hours long with breaks.
It will be D&D 3.5 by the book, with very little to no house rules.
Thanks
JD
