Confused about LFR character creation.

I read the following two pages.

The first page says Heroes of the Fallen Lands / Forgotten Kingdoms are valid resources. However, I downloaded the character creation guide from the second page and the books aren’t mentioned.

Can I create an Essentials character for an LFR event?

The www.livingforgottenrealms.com site is more a file-store for LFR than an 'official home page'. Discussion and announcements of LFR are at the Group on the WotC site, at http://community.wizards.com/lfr - particularly in the blog there.

Is true, but there's the danger that someone might take the current "interim" document a bit too literally and conclude that there's a more current document somewhere with more up-to-date rules.

Empowered fishing and whatnot is great, but I'm a fan of crystal clarity.
