Any games out that people really like or games about to come out that they really want, post em now. I want a new game and I'm not sure what to get, right now I'm thinking of waiting for true crime streets of LA. I got the main 3 consoles so any console game works.

Viewtiful Joe! VJ breathes new life into a dying genre. Easily one of the most fun and most polished games of the year, and it's causing me to lose more sleep than usual.

IGN: It's one of the most action-packed and genuinely entertaining games I've played in a long time on any system, and it certainly deserves to serve Capcom proud. If you're a fan of great action and side-scrolling beat-'em-ups, then run and get yourself a copy today while you still can. If for some reason you still don't own a GameCube, then don't let that be your excuse -- take advantage of the latest $99 price-point and get to know Joe, pronto.

Gamespot: The bottom line is that Viewtiful Joe is a really impressive achievement. It manages to simultaneously recall the simpler times of 2D platforming action games while modernizing the genre in several major ways. It pulls off its stylized gameplay without compromising the rest of the game for the sake of a few flashy moves and ideas.

Gamespy: Viewtiful Joe is just plain cool. The game's look and action totally blew me away. I was really surprised at how much depth there was in the fighting system. Though it looks like the focus of the game is beating the snot out of everything in sight, learning how and when to optimally use Joe's powers and moves was a deep experience that I was not expecting. The game is up there with The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker as one of the best GCN games of year.

If you enjoy any of the extreme sports genre, two big titles are out this month. SSX 3 (fun snowboarding game) came out Tuesday. And Tony Hawk Underground should be out in a week or so. I'll be killing vast amounts of time with both games.

I'm guessing I must be addicted to the game model. I've never set foot upon a snowboard, and skateboarding isn't really happening for me either.

viewtiful joe, haven't heard of it until now, but it would be cool to play a good side scroller again. Much rather play a good 2d game than the much to common poorly done 3d games.

SSX 3 and tony hark are tempting, I don't put hours at a time into these types of games but there good time wasters as I put 15 to 30 minutes into them all the time. takes a while for these game sot lose there luster.

You certainly haven't been keeping up with major game news outlets, every major ones been pimping the game pretty hard.

For suggestions are you just looking for newish games. or would older stuff work as well?

I've got SSX3 waiting for me at home and I can't wait to get there to play it. Also, if you haven't played Knights of the Old Republic, do it now. :)

Good games for the PS2 that cost $20 or less:

If you like fighting games, you can't beat Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution.
If you like console games (ala Mario), Ratchet and Clank is great. It's a couple of years old and is a Greatest Hit.
If you liked Gauntlet, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is good and also a Greatest Hit.
If you like adventure games, ICO is great. You'll likely only find this one used.
If you like Zelda games, Dark Cloud 2 was great fun, with a lot of minigames and strangeness. You likely won't find this one for $20 yet, though, unless you get it used.
