Contact Others Planes Question

I dont know which category this should go.
Therefore i put in spells.
I need to cast that spell to contact a greater Power.
If i do it must make a DC 16 Int check.
My Mage has Int 27 ( Int23 and a Headband of Intelligence + 4 ).
Is there any way to boost the Int bonus to get a better chance to make that chekck.

Hyp has a trick whereby you can use your familiar for this spell.

Otherwise, just pump up your ability check bonuses.

A "Stone of Good Luck" would work.

If your wizard somehow has use magic device, you could use a scroll/wand of Divine Insight (SpellComp, Clr 2/Pal 2).

You might be able to convince a DM to stretch Guidance (Clr 0, Drd 0) or a Bard's Inspire Courage though both only mention skill checks, no ability checks.

Mechanus mind, a lv 2 Sor/Wiz spell from Spell Compendium, gives you a +2 competence bonus on Int based checks for 1 min/level.

A mantle of second chances (DMG2, 6000 gp) or a luck blade (DMG, 22060 gp) gets you a 1/day reroll.
