Contemplative (Complete Divine)

zlorf

First Post
Hi,

One of my player has taken 1 lvl of Comtemplative to pretty much get the Bonus domain (total of 3 now). Their character is neutral and doesnt have a deity, so they are conforming to their alighment. The example uses a Solar as an enlightened being embodying the highest principles of an alignments (good).

Does anyone have any suggestions on who would be a representive for Neutral alignment?

Cheers
Z

The priest IMC is a neutral cleric 15 / contemplative 2 of Fharlanghn. The problem you're running into can be traced back to this phrase

If you're going to toss out the game-flavor of deities, then you have to toss out game-flavor that pops up around them...such as in the description of the Contemplative.

What are this character's domains?

A prerequisite of the class is 'Must have had direct contact with one's patron deity... or with an enlightened being embodying the highest principles of an alignment'.

If the character hasn't had such contact, they can't take the class in the first place.

Unless the DM lets the character take the class anyway, which zlorf evidently already has, so that point is a little redundant.

And I second the Rilmani suggestion.

If the N character has anything in common with the Druids, I'm sure you could whip up a Gaia force; maybe even some less capricious fey might be able to fill the role of the extraplanar power.

What are the character's domains? That is going to help quite a bit; which aspects of neutrality does he particularly hold dear?
