Hi there, sorry for turning up late to the party.

First, off, for anyone who has had probelms with the forums or emailing us, many apologies. We had to take down our main contact email adress due to the sheer volume of spam it was getting, so it's now enquiries [at[ contestedground [dot] co [dot] uk. And the forums have not been without their problems (again, spam related). I realise that a number of people who have tried to register recently have had their accounts deletedm for which I apologise. On to the main topic!

Yes, we are very much aiive! a|state has taken something of a back seat of late, due to other projects, commitments and so forth. However, we are thinking about a PDF release of it. However, we need to do some fiddling with the rather old QuarkExpress files and get them into our new DTP (InDesign) in order to get it all nicely done up. It's not really technically difficult, just time consuming and fiddly.

Specifically to Jezter 6: whereabouts are you located? I say this because I have a few non-saleable copies of a|state (slightly bashed in transit) that I would be happy sell for a few quid plus postage, if it's only really the setting material your after and don't mind a slightly tarnished book. Please do email me at the above address if you are interested.

Also, to Cam: Will you be at Gen Con again this year?

Thanks for coming by Malcolm! Good to hear you are alive, although I wish A|State was still at the forefront of your activities. So long as you are still doing business, you are one step up on some others.

I'd take you up on your offer, but I'm in Maryland USA. Long ship for a book. Not to mention I could pick it up from Crothian's trade list. I'm just more interested in the electronic copy at this point. I'll keep an eye out if you do manage to get it up.

Hell, I don't care about frilly borders and stuff, so long as the text and art shows up and is formatted like a book. Whatever gets it out faster.

Hi Malc,

If you (or anyone else) are still having problems with spam, can I recommend implementing Kitten Authentication. I implemented it on the Critical Miss forums after the failure of our previous post-surrender appeasement policy and it's been about 99.9% effective.

(As in we get about one spam a month, where before it was like the opening scene of Terminator I).
