Have you tried the owners of Brisbane Online at Ashgrove?
They have a large number of magic players and they hold the pre-releases which have been having in excess of 200 players turning up for the day.

The do have a website as well www.brisbaneonline.com.au and a forum there, so it might be possible to post something there.

Great shop which I have only recently discovered. Cheaper than the city shops... and they already have the Fiend Folio in stock for only AUD59.95.

Thanks for the info regarding Brisbane Online Games, but I am already VERY aware of their existance.

I dont think they would allow me to post up flyers for the Magic Tournament - I know they didn't last year.

If however you want to spread the word verbally, there is details of the magic tournament on The BIG Weekend Website.

Over $600AU worth of prizes just in special cards. Well worth it.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, one of the BIG Weekend's scheduled games has had to be cancelled. The good news is that, thanks to the gallant support of Creative Mountain Games, The Whispering Woodwind will takes its place as a fully-fledged replacement in the RPG line-up.

Does this mean I need to register to play in it now?

What about if I have no group and it will be just myself? Can I enter by myself and be joined into another group?

And if all my answers can be answered by the rego booklet, let me know as I know I have one around the house somewhere and will look for it in there then.

Cancelled: The Burning Sands (D20 Modern)

Rego: yes, registration will now be required for the event. However, the con-orgs are superhumanly helpful, so if you contact them via the BIG Weekend forums, I am sure they will help you out

Single players: are welcome in all events. The con-orgs will do all they can to schedule you with other solo players or an incomplete team, so that you'll get to play.

Cancelled Event

Hey All,

Unfortunately my event was the one that needed to be cancelled. The reasons are many, but essentially I just can't be the President of the Convention, write a module, and prepare for the arrival 2 days after the convention of my wife and my first child - yes, yes...great timing...I know.

Anyway, when CMG had their module made available to us, I thought that rather than have people be turned away, at least they get to play something - and a great adventure at that.

Once again, I appologise to anyone who was looking forward to The Burning Sands, and many thanks to CMG for allowing us to use their adventure.
