Conversion Booklet?

Hi all,

I have been largely absent off the boards during the 3.5 insanity due to real life. Since then I have bought the 3.5 editions and also seen mention about a conversion booklet for 3.0 to 3.5 on the boards. Does such a thing exist? All I am able to find is the 3.5 FAQ and the 3.5 Accessory Update book. Neither of which is a solid conversion book. (The Accessory update is closest, but doesn't say much)

Thanks.

I beleive the "3.5 Accessory Update book." you mentioned is in fact the conversion document you have heard about. It is meant to convert material from the Manual of the Planes, MMII, Dieties and Demigods, and Fiend Folio to 3.5.

Hi John,

First off thanks for the response,

I wasn't sure if that was it due to the way ppl were referring to it. I was hoping for something a bit more useful in terms of direction for updating old monsters than that booklet contains.

An example is this:

"Some creature types went away: no more beast or shapechanger.
The creatures formerly beasts or shapechangers changed type.
Beast is gone entirely, but shapechanger became a subtype."

However they don't offer any suggestions for how to modify your existing beasts or shapechangers.

I guess I'll have to play it by ear using the 3.5 books as guidelines, sortof a "from the ground up" review..... if anyone has a better suggestion as to how to update chars, NPCs, Monsters and adventures that would be appreciated.

Also, can't seem to find the guidelines in the SRD anywhere? Are the summaries of the types/sizes and other relavant information for monster creation in one of the files?

EDIT: It figures... seconds after posting I found that info in the obscurely named TypesSubtypesAbilities.rtf file.
