Whizbang Dustyboots
Gnometown Hero
Has anyone tried this? Both have a blue collar, predatory corporate space vibe, but very different systems and focuses within those genres.
After watching the Quinn's Quest review of Mothership, I was thinking that he's probably right that Mothership's horror works better when the players have a chance to spend a lot of time with their characters before the horror starts and that having them bang around in an Orbital Blues adventure or mini-setting would be a natural fit with Mothership before the tentacles and killer slime molds, etc., all happen.
Would it be necessary to do any conversion at all? (Orbital Blues is mostly ordinary people and pretty ordinary ships, which can just be replaced with Mothership stats.)
Or are there existing Mothership settings that feature plenty of non-horrific stuff to do before the bad stuff begins?
