Let's remember to cut CR to 3. Alignment and advancement look fine. I think we just have the description and flavor left. For tactics, I guess they just use webs to trap or entangle victims, much like monstrous spiders, right?

[quoteThey are as relentless in this task as normal giant spiders are at devouring prey. The spider rigger is more intelligent and responsive than its brutal kin, however, and it takes enough pride in its handiwork to attack bitterly any foe who deliberately severs the rigging or otherwise hampers the maneuverability of the vessel. Since the spider rigger plays such an important role aboard ship, it is the most important member of the Xakhun crew (next to the captain, of course) and is closely guarded.[/quote]

It sounds like their tactics are to ignore foes unless the rigging or vessel are threatened, then attack with a vengeance.

All spider types are raised with an inbred respect for the spider rigger and never conceive of attacking one, even if the spider rigger attacks it.

We'll need to note that in the flavor as well.

I'm not sure "ignoring foes" could be considered a tactic. I think it's more a matter of them prefering to leave fighting to the rest of the crew.

That's reasonable to put into the tactics, though. Maybe something like this:

Spider riggers disdain combat, usually leaving fighting to the rest of the crew. However, they are easily enraged by threats to their precious rigging, and try to entrap anyone who tampers with the ship's maneuverability with thrown webs before moving in to administer their poison.

'Disdain' seem the wrong word unless you want them to be snooty spiders who consider combat as unworthy of their superior breeding. I'd say it's more they're uninterested in fighting.

How about...

Spider riggers have no interest in combat and usually leave fighting to the rest of the crew. However, they are easily enraged by threats to their precious rigging, bitterly attacking any intruder who harms their ship's sailing ability. An attacking spider rigger usually throws webs first, then closes in to administer its poisonous bite to entangled opponents.
