Looks like we need to fill in some blanks on Swallow Whole. 1d8+5 bludgeoning, 1d6 acid? And the gizzard should be AC 12 (10+ 1/2 NA).

No objection to the above, I take it you're OK with 20 hit points for the gizzard?

The original monster only swallowed creatures affected by its Venom. Do we want to add that to the Swallow Whole, mention it in the tactics, or do both?

I prefer both.

I am.

As long as the swallow whole bit doesn't make it mandatory, I'm OK with mentioning it there too.

I'll add "Aeserpents can only digest creatures that have been affected by their Bloodcurse Venom, so they will not swallow an opponent who shows no symptoms of poisoning."

Updating Working Draft.

Hmm, the "those swallowed die twice as quickly as they would if merely poisoned" bit suggests the swallow whole attack should increase the effectiveness of its Bloodcurse Venom.

I'm just going to take that bit to mean that the extra damage from being digested makes the victim die faster.

I'd rather have it increase the rate of damage. Although doubling like the original doesn't seem enough, considering the current version of Bloodcurse takes a minute to do 1d4 Con/1d6 Wis. Maybe drop the crushing & acid damage and have it do bloodcurse damage per round (save for none)?

Agreed.

I'd rather keep the standard stuff. This creature is already unusual enough for my tastes.
