Converting Redline to d20 M

Redline is FFG's "Mad Max" d20 game that just came out. I couldn't resist and started to covert it over to d20 M.

Some of these notes are from me and some of it was help from the gracious boys at FFG:

  • * Redline uses a compressed, simplified skill system. You'll either want to add 1 skill point per level to each RL class, or keep the Redline skill sets and reduce the d20 Modern base classes by 1 skill point per level.

    * Firearms rules. They're distinctly different, using different feat sets, so just pick whichever you like and stick with it. For bonus feats for RL classes, just use the appropriate Modern firearms feats instead. Also, Advanced Vehicle Weapons would be parallel with Exotic Firearms in d20 Modern.

    * add defense bonuses for the classes, give classes like the Murader the Daredevil defense progression

    * Make the RL classes Advanced Classes and that would be like 90 percent of the conversion.

In fact, the boys at FFG are also want feedback how any d20 Modern conversions worked. They want to expand into offering stuff for both d20 and d20 Modern for their Horizon line.

that's good to hear. lack of d20 Modern support in Redline is the only thing keeping me from buying it. i loves me some Mad Max post-apocalyptic action, but i'm not interested unless its d20 Modern-based.

I was hoping someone would do this.
I plan on using Redline with d20 Modern.
I just don't have the time to do the conversions myself.
Maybe FFG should consider doing a Web-Enhancement converting Redline to d20 Modern?
