So Wiz 12/Fighter 1 or Wiz 13/Fighter 1?
Let's keep it a rapier and stick with Weapon Focus.
Skills: 89 wizard ranks plus 7 fighter ranks (+8 racial bonus on Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Search, Sense Motive, Spot)
Suggested Fighter ranks: Intimidate 7
Suggested Wizard ranks: Bluff 5 (cross-class costs double), Concentration 16, Knowledge (arcana) 16, Knowledge (the planes) 15, Profession (pilot) 16, Spellcraft 16
Feats: Scribe Scroll (B), Weapon Focus (longsword), 5 more plus 2 wizard bonus feats and 1 human bonus feat
Suggested Human bonus feat: Iron Will?
Suggested Wizard bonus feats: Empower Spell, Maximize Spell
Suggested remaining feats: Craft Staff, Heighten Spell, Silent Spell, Spell Focus (enchantment?), Greater Spell Focus (enchantment?)
Eh? You either meant longsword or you're trying to confuse me.![]()
Empower Spell is OK, but I don't think Maximize Spell gives as good a return. I'd prefer Heighten Spell.
That works out as:
Feats: Augment Summoning, Craft Staff, Empower Spell (B), Greater Spell Focus (enchantment), Heighten Spell (B), Iron Will (B), Scribe Scroll (B), Spell Focus (conjuration), Spell Focus (enchantment), Weapon Focus (longsword)(B)
Wizard Spells Prepared (4/5/5/5/4/3/2/1; save DC 14 + spell level, conjuration spells 15 + spell level, enchantment spells 16 + spell level).
0—x;
1st—x;
2nd—x;
3rd—x;
4th—x ;
5th—x;
6th—x;
7th —x.
Keep in mind the metamagic feats, Spell Focus feats, and his staff on conjuration when selecting spells.
I guess I could see swapping the feats, since I know GSF adds to the staff's abilities. But would Augmen Summoning act on the summon monster spell cast from the staff also?
Staffs use the wielder’s ability score and relevant feats to set the DC for saves against their spells.
