Spelljammer Converting Spelljammer creatures

Don't care for the Search or Sense Motive, but I'm not sure what to substitute them for.

Concentration instead of Sense Motive?

I'd considered that, but it lacks spells or spell-like abilities, so it has no use for that skill. Tumble has limited use (for escape purposes mostly), but beyond that most other skills serve no purpose or don't fit the flavor. :(

Great Fortitude I suppose, since that's their weakest save.

Yeah, I guess we'll go with that.

Yes, I realized Concentration and most of the other skills are basically worthless. I'd contemplated giving them Tumble but decided it was pointless, since no physical weapon can hit a Misi.

Basically, I suggested Concentration just because it seems a thematic fit to spellcasting.

Although come to think of it, Autohypnosis and Heal would be more use to a Misi. How about giving them one or both of those two skills instead of Search or Sense Motive?

Failing that, the only other idea I had for skill changes was Perform (dance) or Knowledge (any one) or Knowledge (any two).

Yeah, I guess we'll go with that.

That we're agreed on!

I'll support both of those.

Updated.

SR 13?

Challenge Rating: x

A tricky one, considering their powers.

I suppose it might burn a lot of spells to get rid of a Misi, so maybe CR 3?

Treasure: x

No treasure. How could they possibly collect it, being immaterial?

Advancement: x

6-15 HD (Medium?)

Misi speak x. (x="their own language that is too incomprehensible for other races to learn?)

I agree with incomprehensibility.

In the interest of getting these done, I'll go ahead and agree to everything above.

But, since I'm making the concession of ignoring logic to allow fireballs to hurt them, I say we call it "Immunity to Physical Weapons" rather than "Physical Attacks." Even if it doesn't make sense, it should at least sound like what it means.

Ah, but a fireball isn't just a physical attack, it's magic!
