Hello. first of all, sorry but my English sucks.
here is the thing. I'm dming this adnd adventure, sword of the dales, the first of a trilogy sets in the forgotten realms.
The party is in a riddle chamber.
Here comes the spoilers:
There are 10 jars, one for each of the normal arcane schools and the other two are wild and elemental magic.
then we have 8 holes in the ground. They have to put the 8 jars corresponding to the classical schools in a way that they are opposed to their opposed school.
Last session we ended with the party guessing which jar corresponds to which school.

The problem for me is that the adventure gives me only one hint for this riddle. It says that there is a symbol in the door the riddle opens, the symbol of the four elements.
The adventure says that this is the only hint....
I can't figure out how a symbol of the four elements could be related to figure out the the jar must be opposed...
there is not image or description of this "strange symbol".
Any idea on what does this symbol means and how it is related to the riddle?
I could use a different idea on hints for this riddle because dming this using only what the module says is imposible FOR ME to see a way of solving this puzzle.

Soon I'll ask about converting a few creatures for this module.
