Hey folks,
While browsing the toy section of Wal-Mart last night looking for anything I could make work on game night, I found an awesome new game with its own line of miniatures. It's a Hasbro product called Heroscape. The game itself looks neat, but I was particularly drawn to the very highly detailed miniatures (especially the dragon) and the several figure expansion packs. They are just a tad more expensive than official D&D miniatures, but they offer a variety of figures and are very, very detailed. Also, unlike D&D miniatures, you can see what you are buying because the package is transparent. They are mounted on bases a little large for d20 gaming (just a hair smaller than a Mage Knight base).
I picked up two of the expansion packs last night and got miniatures that I'll use as a yuan-ti abomination, a pit fiend, an angel, a human centurian, three orc archers (or other humanoid), four orc swordsman, and an orc mounted on a dinosaur. No two figures are the same.
Anyhow, sorry if this isn't new news to everyone. I just saw it last night and wanted to pass the info along!
