Based on his TV career, I could see him being involved with a D&D property, easy.

The exchange feels a little, shall we say, staged: Perkins hardly ever Tweets anymore, and I doubt he would for a random reach out. Today was the day that the Book of Many Tjings dropped on Beyond, so probably the next stage of their marketing is meant to gear up soon. Might be laying some teases at something they will announce soon.
