Core Books only or Everything?

How do you Run Your Third Edition Game/Rules Set?

I pretty much leave the table open but reserve the right to alter or change anything if I feel it is too much or doesn't fit the campaign theme well enough.

I use a wide variety of supplemental material in my 3.5 game. Of course, this is possibly what sped up my current feelings of being completely burned out on 3.5.

I use just Core books.
And I don't use PrCs either.
Only when they are reasonable within the campagin (not yet so far)

Until we truly master the core, we won't want to complicate matters.

I'm open to pretty much anything from any source, but before I allow it into my Realms campaign I check for rules and game play balance.

For PrCs, certain Feats and Magic Items I expect the player who asked to use such rules to provide ideas on why and how the rule(s) can be be included in the Realms. That way PrC's don't get added in willy nilly and magic balanced for other settings (like Monte Cook's stuff from Arcana Unearthed) don't throw the campaign out of wack.

It really depends on the campaign. I tend to be rather focused in my approach to supplements, but am currently getting ready to run a "everything and the kitchen sink" transdimensional world hopping campaign.

I allow the core books, the Eberron book, most of the Complete books, and a thing or two from other places. I'm not adverse to including more stuff, though since we don't play at my house I'm somewhat limited in my carrying capabilities, so I'm not likely to lug around another book just because I allow a feat or two from it.

A WotC whelp

I'm someone pretty suckered into accepting anything "official" without much thought. Then I look at outside sources as they are useful.

If it looks cool I allow it. I don't mind if something's overpowered (unless it's stupidly so) because to me - and the people in my group - if it's not high-powered, it's not worth bothering with. I think part of that is that we're not looking for a grand storyline, we're looking for some cheap laughs to go with our beer 'n pretzels.

This is a bit difficult to answer in that I do not currently use the core rule books, but rather Monte's AU.

So I went with "Core & medium range".

I supplement AU with Skull & Bones, Swashbuckling Adventures, a bit of Nyambe, and a wide slew of House Rules.

I don't think I could ever use the RAW. They just do not in any way, shape or form conform to my tastes.

Such is as is :)
