The light touch comment is a good point. It's nice to have some flavor to the races, some history and background, but not enough to disrupt the homebrewers.Kamikaze Midget said:For me, it evokes WoW or FR. That said, it won't work for every campaign, so I hope they continue with the "light touch," keeping the flavor of Nerath largely out of the rules of the game. Or else homebrewers will have a lot more work to do to rid themselves of it.
That said, one of the cool things about the Creature Collections was the paragraph of Scarred Lands flavor text they put at the front of each monster. I thought it was a nice touch, yet didn't screw with the utility of the monster itself.
