While it is believed that only a few Hive ships have yet entered the Koprulu Sector, this has already resulted in several skirmishes. This has resulted in a certain amount of "cross-pollenization", that is each species is absorbing genetic material from the other and adapting it to their own purposes. There is also the threats of the Dominion (the one from Star Trek) and Ultramar, though these two consider the other as more of a threat than the Koprulu Sector and thus are unwilling to dedicate the amount of forces it would take to entirely conquer the area, though raids and skirmishes are common.</blockquote>
