Compared to the original LAAT/I, the Skyhammer is thicker, taller, and bulkier. The wings integrate ducted fans for improved hover capabilities and maneuvering at low speeds, while improved hover coils line the bottom. The forward anti-personnel blasters are replaced with Vulcan Rotary Cannons, with a pair of heavy plasma Arc turrets are fitted to the forward sides for heavy strike and multiple direction attack. The composite lasers are removed as are the top mounted massdrivers in favour of other systems installed.
