COTSQ minis ---- NO DRIDERS!

Painfully

First Post
Well, I must say I'm a little miffed over this one. No driders, and no Loth figure either. That pretty much makes this a no sale for me IMO. And I like buying figs.

Anybody know where I can get some driders?

---------------------------------

I'd like to add that the art gallery & minis forum is mostly portraits. People go there to gawk at pics, not to discuss minis...at least not in the last several weeks. And this, after I helped fight to get a minis forum. But I think lumping it with the art gallery is what changed the focus of things there. I suppose my rant belongs in meta....

So, like, anybody seen any driders around?

do a little conversion work. buy a generic giant spider mini, cut the head off, put on an elf torso and you've got a drider!

(of course, it's a lot easier said than done... :D )

Are there driders in the adventure?

Yes, I know it is an epic drow adventure, but I want to make sure.

There are a couple in the adventure, IIRC. But in the FR driders are really outcasts/enemies of mainline drow culture. So there's no real need for them in a set of figs tied to the module.

Reaper Minis sell a few drow figures. It's part of their Dark Heaven Legends line (individual character minis, typically 1 per blister pack for about US$4.00 each).

Check out their website at:
www.reapermini.com

Their entire catalog with photos of all their minis in production number order is right there online.

Three figs of note:
#2506 Dark Elf Hero
#2524 Female Dark Elven Cleric
#2562 & #2563 are female elemental sorceresses which might make good drow spellcasters
#2574 Female Dark Elf Warrior
#2577 Queen of Dark Elves on Throne (makes a good Lolth figure)

Hope this helps

Don't forget the following mini.

2618: Elbreth Eveningstar, Half Elf Thief

Here's his pic.

Looks a lot like Drizzt Do'Urden, doesn't he?

And personally I'm pretty ticked that WOTC cancelled the september figures for Chainmail. I've been wanting that damned Drider figure for a LONG time, now. Really burns me that it being so close to release they went and cancelled it. Oh well. Here's hoping they release it in a D&D Monster Boxed Set, like they're doing the Chainmail Dragons and Ettin.
