The editors (who had another mag before this) usually print known illustrations (like Elmore's Dragonslayers pic) and don't credit or pay for it either.
More recently there was a magazine of adventures and it advertised what games it had adventures for, including CyberPunk, Shadowrun, Ars Magica and so on.
No, I thought of Challenge after the fact, but the magazine in question was called Adventures or something like that, and didn't belong to any of the major game publishers of the time. It also didn't last long.
