Coupe de Gras question

Sorry to nitpick, but this is as annoying as the rouge that kept (keeps?) popping up everywhere.

Hi!

... and it is "rogue" not "rouge" (as "red" in the french language) :D

Very kind regards

In 3e, if I'm not mistaken, you COULD use a Coup de Grace with a ranged weapon- but it had to be within 30 feet, I believe, and it wasn't an automatic hit (instead, you got a +10 to your attack).

Oh, and Henrix, you are correct in correcting the incorrect spelling- however, I don't believe there is a circumflex over the "a" in grace. I could be wrong, but I don't think it's there.

In 3E, you could CDG with a bow or crossbow, provided you were adjacent to your target, and it was an automatic hit.

Or, in other words, you're mistaken ;)

I think the original term has the â, but the D&D term doesn't have it. It's one of those words that got assimilated, like déjà vu/deja vu, or über/uber. They usually lose all the special signs.
