Couple of Favored Soul class questions.

They are basically a socererer version of clerics. Do they have domains like clerics do? Can they spontanous cast healing spells like clerics?

0) Yes, basically sorcerer version of clerics, but with some extra meat at various levels
1) Nope - no domains

2) Nope - no spontanious casting/auto conversion

No Domain, they gain the special abilites in place of the domain.

They don't need to prepare spells-all thier spells are spontainous

The "extra meat" consists of weapon focus (4th), weapon specialization (12th), energy resistance and wings at high level.

About the healing spell question: Yes, you need to learn healing spells, otherwise you won't be able to cast them at all. No converting.

They also don't get Turn Undead, so no Divine Might for them.

And no heavy armor proficiency, which is often forgotten.

Like the Sorceror, they can use spell completion items. So, they can still use scrolls and wands for spells on their class list that they may not otherwise be able to cast.

Also don't forget Multiple Attribute Dependancy. Favored Souls and Spirit Shaman use Charisma to determine what level of spells they can cast and how many bonus spells they get. They use Wisdom to determine spell DC's. You can kind of ignore the MAD if you just take buff spells and healing as the Favored Soul. The Spirit Shaman takes a pretty solid hit if it skimps on wisdom since many druid spells are good for blasting.
