omg, i saw this like 2 years ago....., if anybody wants it i can send you the file (email me). the movie just a 2 hour long episode of the show, but the story and action are top notch.

Okay, . . . so there are 10 theaters in California that will be getting the movie, 2 in Texas, and none in the entire southeast? I'm in Atlanta, home to Cartoon Network, and we don't get the Bebop Movie? I have to drive 8 hours to St. Louis or Washington, DC if I want to see this in theaters. *sniff* It's not fair.

I would be curious why Dallas of the Texas sites. Austin makes sense, but I have seen far more anime fans in Houston than Dallas.

Looks like I'm driving to Houston...

i can send you the file on AIM, unless you insist on seeing the rescripted dubbed version of the film.

Hey Hopping Vampire.. that's piracy, and a very gray line to discuss here.. since the movie will be released commercially in the US this fall.. not trying to be the fun police here, but be careful how you post.

Piracy of any kind is not well favored in these parts.

first off, its NOT piracy, since its a fansub, meaning its legal to distrubute for observation purposes only, and legal to own. i know the law on this, since it is a hobby. Secondly, the movie was realeased originally way back in 00', and has been availible in DVD and video formats for a long time now (i used to own the VHS). thirdly, u shouldnt watch re-scripted english dubs of a series anyway. the Cartoon Network series completely ruined the feel of the show with its redone script and film edits.

P.S. Make sure you know the law b4 you post. thx

Okay, obviously you are a copyright lawyer and have an interest in international law so I will bow to your experience...

or maybe not...

Fansubs are only 'legal' until the product is commercially released in the US and a copyright is established here.. which.. oh I guess Pioneer and Bandai might have that now.. sorry.. hence the reason legitimate fansubbers stop distributing copies of commercially released shows once they come to the US. Those who do not are liable under piracy laws.

The DVD and VHS versions of which you speak are probably those made for different regions, as Knocking on Heaven's Door has not been released on either format by Bandai in the USA.

I won't debate the issue of sub versus dub as I tend to agree with you, however just because something is available does not mean it's legal.

Now if you are not posting from the US I'm sorry I assumed so from the first post.
