I thought about it, but that's pretty much the one defining aspect of genies in d20 -- without that, the muse is just another outsider.

I think the problem may be the SLAs, but there unfortunately aren't that many suitable spells to choose from for this particular flavour.

Yeah. I had the same realization. I like the concept, I really do. I love the idea of geniekind not just being the djinn, efreet, dao, marid, and janni. There's just something about the muse that doesn't quite stick with me - I may tool around with it in my genie game and see what it is. :)

I'm not entirely certain it works as a genie, myself. It was the first thought I had for something that fit the bill, but the more I look at it, the more I think it should be its own type of outsider instead; the flavour seems off.

I do have an electrical genie as well, but it doesn't really qualify as "tasked" per se.
