I just think since this thing is automatically going to pop up near the PCs though the ground, and quite possibly pulp one of them in one round (2 hits at 2d6+8, + a grapple check/constrict at 2d6+8, with 3d6 cold subdual) is poretty harsh to heap on a PC.
That's minimum damage of 37 (3 subdual). Average 55 (10 subdual)
Avergae HP for a L6 fighter with 14 CON = 51
Average HP for a L6 cleric with 14 CON = 42
Average HP for a L6 rogue with 14 CON = 35
Average HP for a L6 Wiz with 14 CON = 28
So, this thing will drop 2 of 4 of the 'std' party from fully healed to negatives if it hits with it's full attack. And will drop ANY of them if it gets average damage. The last thing it needs is 1.5 times it's STR bonus. WIth more damage it needs less attacks to begin kill, kill, killing!
The reduced reach I may think about. Also still thinking about the no anatomy deal...
