Craft Glass?

If he does, cast glassee(sp?) on the iron ball first to make it transparent.

I'm not familiar with the spell, and I'm 3.x exclusively.
I'm always open to DM discussion/negotiations, but I scour all resources first to locate an answer from an official source before considering anything custom.

I took a look at my old PHB last night. Glassee is a 6th level Magic-User Spell from AD&D.

Does 3.x even have that spell? I think that is just an AD&D spell isn't it?

AFB but it should be a viable option since it was (is?) part of TSR/WOTC published Core rules; although might be considered "forgotten lore" needing either discovered in some ancient ruin/tome or researched if it wasn't reprinted in 3.x; the same as an other earlier/variant spell.
