The concept ( which may sound vaugely familiar to a few of you
):
The mad society of Alchemists have constructed various underground laboratories where they are spawning clones of men and beasts - AND modifying them ( as well as some non-clones) with surgical & genetic enhancements, including additional temporary effects from alchemical injections (basically potions). The spawning vats cost an exorbitant amount of money to create an maintain, and require a morbid amount of varied tissue samples from different creatures.
The problem:
Coming up with the enhancements and mutations etc... is easy, but how I will accomplish the creation of the clones from a game mechanic standpoint is still a little cloudy.
Should I try and build the Alchemists around the concept of necromancy or just approach these clones as constructs ?
Your opinions are appreciated.
edit: In addition to the expensive lab equipment, rare magical gems will be required to power the spawning vats
