Creating new dragons!

JiCi, very nice! Something about the speeddrakes makes me think of the roadrunner for some reason. More seriously, do your true dragons get sorceror caster levels as they age?

I actually got the idea from Dragon Booster, and as for the Diamond Dragon, I was doing a dragon without any magic or psionic, perhaps I'll add psionics later when I'll have more time.

I Like the drakes. Yeah, the Diamond Dragon would look better with some psionics attatched.

As for the Aluminum, I would rather not add the wings, but instead add a pounce attack. Also, Improved Grab is a possibility. Thoughts?

Then lets leave the wings off the African/Persian dragons, sounds fine. But I think we should definitely add pounce. With the loss of flight and wing attacks, we should seriously think about improved grab and constrict. And make sure that these don't feel too much like landwyrms, too.

Hmmm, actually, I got a thought about possibly having them have Improved Grab/Constrict instead of Pounce.

That coupled with the fact that they can cast spells should make them different enough from the landwyrms.

Also, I was thinking of a Burrow speed to replace the fly speed.

Hmm, if we give the diamond dragon psion levels, should we let it specialize in a discipline, or make it an erudite instead to differentiate it from the other gem dragons?

We could also go with Ardent, Lurk, or Psychic Warrior, but I would say go for Psion, with a discipline.

I'd say psion, either kineticist or egoist, since those match the flavor of the other abilities.

For the other new dragons, let's go with Improved Grab/Constrict, but no Pounce. Give them a burrow speed, and maybe let's give them a little extra spellcasting oomph or more SLAs or something.

I was thinking of allowing them to choose from the druid list. What do you think?

If you mean it's an innate druidic spellcaster, then I'd go for it. The 2e amber dragon was such a spellcaster.

So you'd give it spellcasting as a sorceror but allow it to choose from the druid spell lists? (As opposed to casting as a druid or having spells known and spells per day and spontaneous casting as a sorceror but with the druid spell list.) Sounds good -- and appropriate. Might be good as a theme for all these new dragons (well, not the psionic ones, I guess).
