Creating/Pricing Gloves of Dexterity & Storing?

Say I have a pair of Gloves of Dexterity +4... and want to have one of the gloves enchanted to also act as a glove of storing (or both for that matter). How would you establish the cost of stacking the magical effects?

All but the highest cost ability gets multiplied.

And to calculate the price when adding an ability you first calculate the cost of the *complete* item and then subtract the cost of the previous item, which you already have.

For example:

If you have an item (ignoring affinity for now) that adds +2 Strength (4,000 gp) and add a property, which adds +4 Dexterity (16,000 gp), the lower cost gets multiplied by 1.5, therefore the total cost is then 4,000x1.5 + 16,000 = 22,000 gp. The difference you have to pay for adding the property would be 18,000 gp in that example.

Do you multiply both effects by 1.5, or just the newly added one ?

Could someone do a write-up of the calculations ?

The less expensive effect is increased by x1.5.

For your Gloves of Dextery +4 and Storing:

Dex +4 = 16,000 gp
Storing = 10,000 gp (per glove)

Since Storing is the less expensive effect, it is the one multiplied by x1.5 on the cost, so it costs 15,000 gp per glove.

So to add the Storing ability to one of the gloves would cost 15,000 gp (total cost 31,000 gp).
To add Storing to both gloves would cost another 15,000 gp (total cost 46,000 gp).

thanks for the replies... I had asked because I was wondering about the effect of enchanting one of the two gloves with a secondary effect and also whether the order of operations would make a difference.

According to your responses, it doesn't matter what is started with, the overall cost will always come out the same -- makes sense.

Thanks again
