Creating swarms?

I could have sworn I saw a template or rules for creating a swarm, but damned if I can find it now. (I'm looking to create a swarm of vipers and one of weasels.) Is there such a thing and if so, where?

The "creature swarm" template is in the Advanced Bestiary from Green Ronin.

And in case you were curious, the viper swarm's already been done in the 3.25 Fiend Folio. It'd need a little tweaking for 3.5 compliance, but it's not bad.

Hmm, the creature swarm template is for making a swarm of teeny tiny versions of larger creatures, I thought.

Thanks on the viper swarm, I missed that; FF mostly gets skimmed by me, given how not-useful-to-me a lot of the stuff is, like the flying sharks and the Gamma World monsters.

The creature swarm template might very well be that, but it's the only real swarm template. For the most part, swarms are made up arbitrarily and given SAs and SQs similar to the base creature, not actually based on it too thoroughly.

Thanks on the viper swarm, I missed that; FF mostly gets skimmed by me, given how not-useful-to-me a lot of the stuff is, like the flying sharks and the Gamma World monsters.

I always wonder why dumb 1e/2e monsters get updated before other, more worthy monsters. Damn Terlens...
