Creation of masterwook weapons

Do most of you follow the books rules on the creation of masterwork weapons or do you use some kind of table to figure out what bonuses the item recieves. The part craftsman asked if i would create some kind of table that would give the plus intead oif me (the dm) determining what the bonuses are. Anythoughts would be helpful as I told him I would think on the matter and get back to him next session.

Huh? A masterwork weapon gets a +1 attack bonus. That's it.

I thought that masterwork weapons could have different bonuses that were dependent upon what the DM gave them. Guess I may have read that wrong. DOH!

Unless you're thinking of magical weapons?

A masterwork weapon is simply finely-made, well-balanced, sharp, etc. It gets a +1 to attack rolls.

here.
