Creative fighting

Just looking for a quick recommendation if any is available, but I'm looking into being a GM (because I notice I have more fun killing my character so I can try different combos, and watching other players play their characters than I do playing my own, so by being the GM I can create all sorts of characters to send at the party and customize them how I want).

One big problem I have though is that I love to fight creatively (Although I prefer the term "dirty"), and I'm having trouble coming up with some good techniques/tricks for non-humanoid NPCs (typically I stick to humans for just about any system). To explain what I mean by "dirty" fighting, here is an example:

Playing a very dexterious rouge character with a decent strength, one of my favorite manuevers was to lure an opponent into engaging in melee near a edge of some sort (cliff edge, window, wall, whatever). Then willingly take a step off the ledge, and fall, make a quick reflex and strength save to stop my decent by digging a weapon/tool into the edge of what I'd dropped off. After that I'd wait a bit till my opponent had focused his attention elsewhere, or began to move away (or look over the edge), then I'd spring up, grab onto something of his (usually using some sort of spell or device to ensure my hand didn't slip off), and drag him over the edge. Ahhh, the good days, I remember taking out a big baddie, several levels higher than anyone in the party, in just three rounds of combat in D&D Forgotten Realms using that method. GM wasn't happy though. And that's just one of the simple things anyone could do with a bit of luck.

Anyways, basically I'm hoping to find some sort of supplement, or anything at all really, to help me build up ideas/concepts I can use with non-humanoid characters.

I don't remember the issue, but I remember a few years back in Dragon they had some articles on what I'd call Dirty Couples. Namely they suggest Tag Teams of non-humanoid baddies who's abilities complimented each other.

This isn't quite what you're looking for, but I think it might help. Hopefully someone else could supply an issue number.
