D&D 3E/3.5 Creature Catalog 3.5 Overhaul Project

BAW! Well, I have to say I don’t like that “only on a 20” BS one bit. But as a designer, I’m stuck with it. :p thanks for bringing that up – I keep the PHB and MM on hand, but the DMG is one book too many so I leave it at home. :)

So, all arguments considered, that leaves me wanting to go with this:

Damage Reduction 20/magic and slashing
Fast Healing 3 (to account for creatures hitting it with a vorpal weapon and not getting a crit)
Regeneration 1

Regeneration (Ex): Magic slashing weapons deal normal damage to a jabberwock.

Vulnerability to Vorpal Weapons (Ex): A vorpal weapon threatens a critical hit on a range of 19-20 when wielded against a jabberwock.

Yeah, that came as a surprise to me as well in 3.5.

The only reason I knew it was because we are sticking with the Improved Critical and keen (and other multipliers) stack rules, so vorpal had to be nerfed or the weapon master had to go. ;)

I think your latest proposal should work. Let's see what Knight Otu thinks, though.

cool! shade? :)

and, ready to move on to the azmyth. i will be leaving soon to visit my wife - i will post that when i get home.

We just need weight, to remove the question mark on challenge rating, and fix frightful presence (… attacks, charges, or flies overhead…).

A wyvern is half its length and weighs 1 ton. So maybe go with 2 tons?
