I never thought about drawing from multiple victims.

If that happens, I'd say it should attempt to take a "best of" approach instead of adding scores.

Maybe it would be clearer if we gave this thing a motive. What does it get out of sampling DNA from victims? Does it keep what works for further use? If so, will it show some traits of previous victims?

I'll go with Knight on this one. As for a motive... hmm... maybe it's some form of semi-magical guardian creature, such as the Scalamagdrion (a draconic guardian) and the Spectator Beholder-kin. (Both of which are detailed in Magic of Faerûn™). Or maybe it is a creature that is so alien that a clear motive for it's behavior is impossible to discern.

Oh yeah. It could be working for someone. It could also be a spy, since it downloads some knowledge from the victim.
