note that the creature lack treasure, and as such IMHO I think the CR should be slightly larger than the creatures actual CR (calculated to 14).

At least, that's my opinion...

Oh, that has nothing to do with it, it's just that without a treasure as a reward from the creature, the CR should be higher to make up for it.

derived from Pergola which is synonymous to Arbor. and gloom and loom.

The plant creature seems to inspire web like structures which is why i added loom at the end.

Gloom because it's evil.
Pergola because it's a walking garden.
