Creatures of Mythology

First sorry about the vagueness of the subject, I do try to be precise but I wasn't sure how on this one…

Anyhow, I’m looking for creatures from mythology that used some sort of vocalization; like singing or screaming to attract prey, to notify of the dead, or etc..

(My examples are a Siren and a Banshee respectfully.)

Are their any others out there?

Yes, but IIRC the mythological harpies didn't have this ability, they were plague-spreaders. This power may come from confusion between sirens and harpies (both were bird-women, although a lot of art shows the sirens as mermaids or sea-nymphs).

The lamia had a hypnotizing call in Medieval times, can't recall offhand whether the DnD version has this power. Manticores were known for their call, described as a mixture of flutes and trumpets, but I can't recall whether it had any special properties or not.

Selkies had a singing ability. I think . . . I also think that Japanese Mythology had a singing creature.
