Critical Role has announced they are partnering with AdHoc Studios on multiple projects, including a game set in Exandria. Variety broke the news that Critical Role is teaming up with the indie LA-based studio on multiple projects, including the aforementioned Exandria-based video game and projects based on AdHoc's upcoming Dispatch game. Per the article, Critical Role will work on "future brand development" for Dispatch, which includes an animated series, merchandise, and tabletop gaming.

Several Critical Role cast members are voice actors in Dispatch, a superhero workplace comedy game where players have to decide which heroes are sent to manage emergencies in a city.

As for the Exandria-based game, the game is still in early development, with no confirmed details on plot or gameplay. The game will likely follow Dispatch's example of having narrative choices in which players make choices to impact the storyline. In the article, Travis Willingham also said that the game will feature "favorite characters" from Critical Role's canon but would have a new plotline and would likely be set in between Critical Role campaigns.

This new Critical Role video game is described as having a smaller scope than a AAA title, which means that the production timeline is a couple of years long as opposed to a 5+ year timeline.
