Critical Role Gets a Mighty Nein Sequel Novel

The novel focuses on Caleb and Beau.

Penguin Random House is exploring the post-campaign story of two Mighty Nein characters. Today, Penguin Random House announced Critical Role: The Mighty Nein - Children of Empire, which will explore the stories of Caleb Widogast and Beauregard Lionett after the end of Campaign 2. The novel, written by Nibedita Sen, is meant to bridge the gap between the end of Campaign 2 and their appearances in Campaign 3. Sen is a Hugo, Nebula, and Ignyte Award-nominated writer best known for her short story work. The new book will be released on November 10, 2026.

This actually sounds great. And honestly, it's a story that I think would be expressed better in a book than at the table. Not familiar with the writer, but will be checking this out for sure.
