Crusader Journal Goes Monthly (TLG PR)
LITTLE ROCK, AR {October 16, 2008} Troll Lord Games announced that The Crusader Journal, an in print magazine dedicated to games and the gamers who play them, is going monthly. The increased release schedule is coupled with a new yearly subscription rate of only $36.00.
The Crusader Journal has been a staple in the RPG market since its inception in 2005, however it has only recently reached the circulation that has called for a monthly schedule. Stephen Chenault had even more pointed comments to say, “A monthly schedule changes the nature of the Journal dramatically. It gives subscribers confidence in the magazine itself, but further it sends a clear message to other publishers and retailers that here, finally, is a new vehicle within which my advertising dollars might have some meaning. James and Elizabeth Stewart have worked hard to bring the Journal up to speed and both the quality and rate of publication have finally reached a level that we are happy with.”
Aware of the ever growing interest in the Journal, from the fans of the Castles & Crusader RPG to the average role player, James M. Ward, Managing Editor of Crusader Magazine had this to say, “Having seen what happened to Dragon Magazine and Dungeon Magazine I have every hope that Crusader becomes to this generation of game players what those magazines became for millions of game players around the world.”
Within the pages of The Crusader Journal lie a plethora of articles that touch upon many of our common interests. Though each issue sports at least one ‘crunchy’ bit rules article for C&C the magazine’s focus is much more broad. The Journal offers articles that range from the common and simple “How To” articles, to advice, fiction, poetry, humor, art and more.
