Cry Havoc or Fields of Blood?

I don't know anything about Eden Studios, not having purchased anything from them.

I've got almost everything Malhavoc has done and they are top notch. Skip Williams is an "official" D&D author (you know what I mean...), so Cry Havoc seems like the natural choice.

Someone convince me otherwise...

Eden studios has put out some very good none d20 products. The Buffy line for instance is very high quality and exceptional. Of there few d20 books I've only read through Liber Bestarius: The Book of Beasts; which is good as it was nominated for an ENnie.

All I know is that the Eden Studio book was supposed to come out like a year ago. That does not bode well for the product, IMHO, though I haven't seen it. I'm just saying I'm leery of it.

I gave up on Fields of Blood, since I've been waiting for it since 2001. Skip Williams + Malhavoc Press = timely and professional. I'll go with Cry Havoc.

I think both will have their uses. Fields of Blood is written by Justin Bacon, who has done good work in the past. I definitely will look at both before buying, but based on what I've heard each book is about, Fields of Blood will be better for sheer mass combat over Cry Havoc (which is more of an event book).

Isn't Justin Bacon writing the Art of War book for Troll Lords? I think it was Matt Colville that did the initial work on Fields of Blood.

I have really liked everything Malhavoc has done so far and have bought most of there stuff on .pdf. I will definatly be getting Cry Havoc but I think I will wait for the print edition this time

Wasn't Fields of Blood coming out this month? I was hoping to pick it up at GenCon. I've been seeing ads for it in the 'zines.

I've pretty much given up on Fields of Blood. I've been waiting it seem like years for it. They've chnged authours in mid-project, missed lots of release dates.

I'll basically take the first product that comes down the pipe, if it's Cry Havoc, then fine.

What exactly is an "Event Book" as opposed to a supplement?
