I've read Cry Havoc this summer and last night I've put my hands on Fields of Blood.
I've already read thousands of reviews about these two books. Can anybody make a comparison of tehse two systems?
I'm not strictly speaking of the "Realm system" of Fields of Blood but exactly of the Battle system.
Which is the best of the two?
Is it probably better to wait for the "Battlefields" by Wizards or not?
What about the realms system of Flields of Blood? Is it Worth using?

It's been a few months since I used either system but...

Cry Havoc works better for smaller forces, between 10-100 per side.

Fields of Blood works better for larger forces.

The management system in FoB works well when you're creating something from the ground up as most game settings maps aren't necessarily designed to work with FoB from the get go.

The Fields of Blood mass combat is pretty nice, but you will have to make your units from scratch, which can be a chore. There's a FoB yahoo group: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Fields_of_Blood/ They might be able to hook you up with some spreadsheets, etc.

Don't bother with the realms rules. Initially I was excited about them, but I gradually realized that the scale they use is way too small to apply to even a small campaign setting. Micromanagement nightmare. Useless.

Somewhere in the General forums, someone (Silveras?) posted an outstanding comparison of the various mass combat systems. I think this was around six months ago. Maybe someone who can search posts can give you better directions?
