Culture Feature: RPGs & Authors Beyond the Western Standard

In other words the initial statement is correct.

Not really, in two ways:

1) Coyote & Crow respectfully requests the players not engage in appropriation. Literally - the phrasing they use is "...we ask you not to...". To claim the game restricts it is an overstatement.

2) That request has no rules impact. Mechanically speaking, a character made by someone with Indigenous heritage, and one without that heritage, would be exactly the same. The request is about representation of non-mechanical gender identity, culture, spiritual and religious beliefs in play.

Realize I've been rather sparse when it comes to Pathfinder 2e content, so introducing some choice entries in this post.

Tian Xia: Dihyang (affiliate link for the Dihyang Project) is an original setting for the Lost Omens line, introducing an archipelago to Golarion's Tian Xia region inspired by the history, myths, and culture of Indonesia. Its design team is comprised of Indonesians.

Tian Xia World Guide is a 2e update to the Asian-inspired region of Golarion. Several of its leads are Asians and members of the Asian diaspora writing about their respective cultures.
