So I am playing a cleric in a 3.5 module and was looking at PrC's for the character. The go to cleric PrC seems to be the Radiant servant of Pelor since it is just a cleric on steroids. Since I chose Farlanghn as my deity to get some appealing domain abilities I am unable to take that class and decided to modify it to make it work for my character.
The theme of this class is travel, as Farlanghn is God of Roads, so many of the abilities have to do with speed altering affects, or improving the character's ability to buff team mates. Im looking for advice, suggestions and opinions as to whether or not this is a balanced PrC.
This PrC is based completely off the Radiant Servant of Pelor from Complete Divine, page 52. The BaB, saves, and spell progression are idetical to that class, and anything not listed below will be the same.
Reqs:
Skills: survival 5 ranks, Knowledge(religion) 9 ranks
Feats: Extra Turning
Special: Must be divine caster, must be proven a devout and trustworthy member of the church.
Hit Die: D8
Skill Points: 2 + int mod
Skills: Concentration, Craft, Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge(religion), Profession, Sense Motive, and Spellcraft.
Level BaB Fort Ref Will Special Spells
1 +0 +2 +0 +2 Celerity Domain, Turn Undead +1 level as cleric
2 +1 +3 +0 +3 Divine Helath, Extend Spell( Celerity domain)+1 level as cleric
3 +2 +3 +1 +3 Aura of Alacrity, +1 level as cleric
4 +3 +4 +1 +4 Still spell(Celerity Domain)+1 level as cleric
5 +3 +4 +1 +4 Bonus Domain (Glory or Protection)+1 level as cleric
6 +4 +5 +2 +5 +1 level as cleric
7 +5 +5 +2 +5 Temporal burst +1 level as cleric
8 +6 +6 +2 +6 Silent Spell(Celerity) +1 level as cleric
9 +6 +6 +3 +6 +1 level as cleric
10 +7 +7 +3 +7 Chain Spell(Celerity) +1 level as cleric
Celerity Domain: at 1st level you gain access to celerity domain, if you already have it, choose any other farlanghn domain.
(This in part replaces Greater Extra Turning which is an incredibly powerful ability. This domain in combination with the D8 instead of D6 HP are meant to replace Greater Turning)
Aura of Alacrity: At 3rd level the character and all allies within 10 ft get +2 to reflex saves.
(Replaces aura of warding. Seemed to fit the theme better.)
Temporal Burst: At 7th level you can use a standard action + 2 trun attempts to send a pulse of temporal energy out. The pulse has a radius of 80 feet. All allies in the area are affected as if by a haste spell, all enemies are affected by a slow spell.
(Replaces positive energy burst. I initially had it only slowing enemies, but then I realized slow is only a 3rd level spell and alrdy affects multiple targets. So I added the hasting as well. May need tweaking.)
As to my decision to add the celerity domain at 1st level: the 1st level abilities for the radiant servant seem to expand on the sun domain, Pelor's namesake domain. I was trying to make adjustments to the Travel domain's ability/spells and was finding it difficult to do. So I decided to give the next logical domain in my opinion of a cleric of Farlanghn, Celerity, which has spells that can benefit from more meta-magic-ing than the travel spells could.
Overall I think the class may be a little underpowered due to the limited usage of the celerity domains spells.
So that is what Ive got so far. Never done this before so I appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks for reading.
