Unorthodox Bards?

Truth be told, though it's very eye catching, I personally wouldn't have even picked this as your company's sexiest cover.
It may not be as...ummmm, "out there" as Synergy Artifacts, but I would have picked the cover for Unorthodox Bards. Very nice.

Yes, I considered that too, but I am in the middle of revising U.Bards with updated text and a new image, and I did not want to submit the old image. The new image was actually finished last night and he did a fantastic job.

I personally prefer the old bard image but alot of people like this new one much more, and I have no idea why.

I should have the new revision done soon and free downloads will be sent to everyone who purchased the original.

Well I voted for Synergy Artifacts. Of the choices, it was the sexiest, in my opinion. The Savant cover almost fits into a "provocative" category.

Thanks for your support.

Win or lose, I am glad to be nominated.

Blonde or Brunette Bard?

When it comes down to it Le, I think I'll take the blonde over the brunette for the bard cover ...

by the way, any sexy unorthodox knights planned?

More sexy covers?

Unfortunately not. My next 2 covers (Knights/Witches) are very NOT sexy as a matter of fact.

However, recently a couple bigtime vendors (they shall not be named) made some very condescending remarks to me concerning my books and book covers and it has royally ticked me off. So after these next few books, I fully plan on going back to covers with under-dressed women. As long as I am having fun, that is all that matters. Some people take this stuff far too seriously.

Right now I am having the time of my life.

Personally I like the posture of the old Bard cover, but the new one has much more sexier "features". And if that didn't make me sound like a dirty old man, I'm not sure what will.

Looking forward to many more scintillating covers for ya, TheLe ;)

As a customer, and as a customer only, I can tell you I don't mind your covers; none has been overtly sexual, more sexy than anything else.

Just take care that you don't go the way of Avalanche. Their covers were just way over the line, and I personally refused to purchase any of their products* as my way of protest. Sexy is fine, sexual can be done tastefully, objectification is just wrong.

* - The only Avalanche product I purchased was Celtic Age, and note that it's cover is nothing like the rest. But I won't purchase their faeries book, even though it has ties to Celtic Age, and even though I hear/read it has good material. Yes, I know I am missing on it, but as a consumer I vote with my dollar.

Actually, I don't see them as being very different. I was surprised Gamewyrd was running a sexiest cover award considering all the flak Avalanche was given a view years ago. I guess the climate has changed.

Whoa...I hope the body shape of that Savant and Sorceror girl is just perspective...

I am ashamed to have noticed this, but she looks like a JAB drawing...

Yes, I plan on keeping it as "tasteful" as possible, yet edgy.

Yes the Savant and Sorcerer cover is nice, but I personally find it on the verge of porn rather than sexy, which is their perogative to do. Not to mention their cover seems more appropriate for a superhero rpg rather than a fantasty rpg. (I am not judging, I am just giving you my opinion on the cover).

Is their cover sexier than mine? I don't know. I will let the voters judge.

In anycase there is a fine line between sexy and objectification, and I am going to try hard to be right on that line. I want something eye catchy, yet still on topic with the book, which I have been blessed to have so far.

We'll see. I just gotta keep it fun.
